Via Funchal has a security plant monitoring all items related to the audience's security such as: power supply by the main and emergency generators, fire alarms in each area, smoke level control, pressurized emergency exits, air-conditioning system, smoke extractor fans, power failure checking etc.

The emergency exits are pressurized and the air-conditioning system expells the smoke automatically in case of fire. All stage curtains are fireproof. The house counts on a trained fire brigade during activity.

Via Funchal is self-sufficient in power supply. In addition to the main generators, an extra one runs automatically in the event of power failure, supplying power for the fire bombs, elevators, lighting circuit and exits.
